Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Lamoille County, Vermont. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
