Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in Etche, Rivers State. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces On the job you will handle: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
