Immediate opening: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in City and Borough of Leeds, England. The job is at a renovation and extension job. You will erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around £145 per day, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
