Garment machinist — Ekiti East

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Ekiti East, Ekiti State. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Day to day you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality.
