Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Menard County, Illinois. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 4+ years on the tools preferred.
