Lawn care technician wanted in Lake and Peninsula Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lawn care technician in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. Your main tasks: • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
