Gtaw welder wanted in Borough of Thurrock

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Borough of Thurrock, England. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Full-time, day shift. £2,450 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
