Tig welder wanted in North Lincolnshire

Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in North Lincolnshire, England. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
