Gas commissioning technician • Newton County, Indiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Newton County, Indiana. You will work on residential and apartment building sites. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Day-to-day duties: • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation Full-time, day shift.
