Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in North East Lincolnshire, England. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
