Immediate opening: tig welder (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Greene County, Iowa. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
