The role involves: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Rotating shifts.
