Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Wexford County, Michigan. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. Your main tasks: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
