Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Cumberland County, New Jersey. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards You will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring.
