Argon welder — Newport County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Newport County, Rhode Island. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
