Requirements: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes The role involves: • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges 3+ years on the tools preferred.
