Occupational health and safety officer — Ahoada West

Immediate opening: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Ahoada West, Rivers State. Day-to-day duties: • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry You should have: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
