Slinger signaller — Torrance County

Join our team: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Torrance County, New Mexico. Day-to-day duties: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Confident with standard crane hand signals 5+ years on the tools preferred.
