We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Saratoga County, New York. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 5+ years on the tools preferred.
