Now hiring: core maker (Kansas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Atchison County, Kansas. On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
