Steel erection rigger wanted in Wharton County

Join our team: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Wharton County, Texas. You will be based at a busy construction site. On a typical shift you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. You should have: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Full-time, day shift.
