Earthmoving plant operator • Lafourche Parish, Louisiana

Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving plant operator in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in an open-cast mine. The role involves top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension. Requirements: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination 5+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
