Join our team: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Morgan County, Colorado. You will be based at a container port. The role involves select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience.
