Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Maverick County, Texas. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
