Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Washington County, North Carolina. You will work in a residential tower block. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota The role involves: • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
