Now hiring: we are hiring a MIG welder in Tazewell County, Illinois. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test On a typical shift you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
