Immediate opening: GTAW welder (Nebraska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Lincoln County, Nebraska. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day to day you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off.
