Machinist wanted in Newton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Newton County, Texas. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory You will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $17 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
