Your main tasks: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces 6+ years on the tools preferred.
