Vacancy available: natural gas fitter (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Caroline County, Virginia. You will work on commercial and industrial sites. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration On a typical shift you will lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
