Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Cleburne County, Alabama. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman Pay around $200 per day, based on your experience.
