Brick and block layer • Spalding County, Georgia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Spalding County, Georgia. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Day-to-day duties: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Six days a week, one day off.
