Immediate opening: gas pipeline fitter (South Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Custer County, South Dakota. You will be based on commercial and industrial sites. You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Your main tasks: • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
