You should have: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Current Driver CPC qualification card The role involves check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; present documents at weighbridges and check posts; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules.
