Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Denali Borough, Alaska. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. The role involves clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Full-time, day shift.
