Great opportunity: painter and decorator (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a painter and decorator in Juneau City and Borough, Alaska. You will be based on a residential building site. The role involves fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps; work safely from ladders, scaffolding and mobile towers; apply primer, undercoat and two topcoats with brush and roller; strip old paint and wallpaper with scrapers and heat guns; measure up and work out paint and material quantities; carry out snagging and touch-ups before handover. Requirements: • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $8,000 per project, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
