Now hiring: we are hiring a crane operator in Avery County, North Carolina. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. The role involves follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. What we are looking for: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Current medical and eyesight certificate At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
