Vacancy available: restoration bricklayer (North Carolina)

Now hiring: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in New Hanover County, North Carolina. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Your main tasks: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints Full-time with occasional weekends.
