Stainless steel welder • Harper County, Kansas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Harper County, Kansas. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. On the job you will handle: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
