Vacancy available: gas installation technician (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Delaware County, New York. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. The role involves locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray. You should have: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration 3+ years on the tools preferred. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
