Immediate opening: safety officer (Colorado)

Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in San Miguel County, Colorado. The job is on a high-rise building project. On a typical shift you will verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
