Heavy equipment operator wanted in Sagadahoc County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Sagadahoc County, Maine. The job is on an earthmoving and excavation site. Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Understanding of safe digging near underground services On the job you will handle: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension Six days a week, one day off.
