Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Siskiyou County, California. On the job you will handle: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
