Requirements: • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding Day-to-day duties: • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection 4+ years on the tools preferred.
