Immediate opening: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Orleans County, Vermont. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. You will load and unload the deck oven with a peel; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity. What we are looking for: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
