Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Sunflower County, Mississippi. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. Requirements: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
