Brick and block layer — Wexford County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Wexford County, Michigan. You will work at a residential building site. You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day to day you will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
