Finish carpenter • Wilkes County, Georgia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Wilkes County, Georgia. The job is in a cabinet-making workshop. Your main tasks: • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring What we are looking for: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
