Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Jasper County, South Carolina. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Your main tasks: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Full-time with occasional weekends. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
