Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Wakulla County, Florida. You will be based on an industrial construction site. Your main tasks: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
